Rihanna back at it again with the albums!

Crystal Martinez, reporter

After 4 years of anticipation, Rihanna has finally released her latest album, Anti. When first released on January 28th, it had one million downloads in less than 15 hours and went platinum in less than two days.

Even though the album did not have the singles from 2015 such as BBHMM or FourFiveSeconds this was the best decision she could have made for the album. Now instead of just hearing a pop album you hear a contemporary R&B album.

Some of the best songs on the album are“Consideration” (feat. SZA),“Desperado”,“Kiss It Better”,”Same Ol’ Mistakes” and  “Needed Me”.

“Consideration” (feat. SZA) is one of the only songs to have a featured artist. While this song is only at 2:43 it is probably one of the better tracks. In this melody Rihanna hits some low notes to head-voice notes and her voice perfectly blends with that of SZA.

“Desperado” is remarkably similar to FourFiveSeconds at only 3:06. The first few seconds sound remarkably like BANKS “Waiting Game” making the song more alluring.

“Kiss It Better” is a modern rock love song with the song being 4:13 the one of longest songs on the track. In this song Rihanna makes herself sound vulnerable and makes the tune intoxicating to the listener.

“Same Ol’ Mistakes” is the longest song on the album being 6:37. The song being a cover Tame Impala’s “New Person, Same Old Mistakes” she definitely brought this cover to justice.

“Needed Me” has an electronic sound to it and the song is only 3:11. This song has a vibe that just makes the listener feel like having a good time.
