NFL Pro Bowl 2016 Review

The NFL Pro Bowl had its 2016 edition this past weekend in which Team Irvin defeated Team Rice 49-27. This year’s game, held in Honolulu, Hawaii , had a record number of participants decline the invitation to the game. Names such as Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and New England quarterback Tom Brady. The declination of such stars caused there to be excess players invited to fill up both teams. This caused Russell Wilson to be the only quarterback invited in the first time around, to actually accept. But, this gave Team Irvin an advantage.

During the game, Wilson would go on to score 3 touchdowns. Also, due to the large amount of declines to go, many younger players were invited to fill in the roster. So, player like rookie James Winston were given a chance to play which resulted with 2 touchdowns from him. Another standout quarterback was Teddy Bridgewater who contributed with two touchdowns of his own, which ended the chances of a Team Rice win.

Nevertheless, the 2016 Pro Bowl was again a simple exhibition game that what made more enjoyable by antics of Seattle Seahawks players. In turn, performances by Seahawks players Russell Wilson and Michael Bennett, awarded each player and MVP awards. It became a game that allowed players to just have some fun in the sun
