Lady Jackets Crush Bruins, 53-36 at Home

On February 3, the Varsity Lady Jackets basketball squad dominated against the Bloomington Bruins, 53 – 36 . Before the game, senior point duard, Julie Medina said, “I expect to play hard and do well against Bloomington,” adding, “we beat Bloomington every year, but they think they can still have a chance.”  Their record last year was 3-7, as opposed to their current record, 2-6, looking to improve their record. The Colton High Varsity girls basketball warm up looking focused for their game ahead.

In the first half, the Lady Jackets dominated, scoring from everywhere against the hapless Bloomington defense. Junior Trinique Jonzun gave a huge scoring contribution with 15 points. During the 3rd quarter Julie Medina stole the ball away from her opponent and passed it to Shaniek. Bloomington fouled  but Colton missed the two free throws. Later in the game Shane once again went for a lay up and scored.
