Starting Monday, September 20, all Colton High students will be taking the MAP test. This test is a measurement of students’ annual progress towards meeting the state’s common core standards.

When testing begins next week, students will test with their second period teacher in specially designated 96-minute periods. To make room in the schedule for the testing period, periods 1-6 have been shortened to 42 minutes.

Students will take tests in reading, language use, math, and science. Results from these tests will support teachers’ efforts writing effective lessons, and provide goal-setting opportunities for students.
