The Colton Girls softball team faced off against league rival the 5-9 in league and 10-14 overall Fontana Steelers in their final game of the regular season. The Jackets came off a 8-7 loss to the Steelers just a couple days ago making the Jackets record 4-10 in league and 9-16 overall.

Looking to tie up their records the Jackets stung first scoring the first run of the game in the top of the 1st but it didn’t last long with Fontana scoring a run in the bottom of the 2nd. Looking to jump back ahead the Jackets then took it back to Fontana scoring two runs in the 3rd making it 3-1.

Fontana looking to retaliate scored a run in the 4th inning but that was all they could muster up making the score 3-2 heading into the 5th inning. Colton looking to increase the gap on their lead scored three runs in the 6th bringing their lead to 6-2. Colton closed out the game with two more runs in the 7th ending the game and their season with a 8-2 win bringing their record to 5-10 in league and 10-16 overall.
