Girls Softball give away the Win to the SkyHawks

On Wednesday, April 20th,  the Colton Yellow Jackets lost in a valiant effort against the Summit SkyHawks, 5-1. Colton looking to win the next couple games against Summit who currently hold the third spot in league with Colton right behind them in fourth. Starting pitcher Junior #13 Cassandra Ramirez seemed to struggle at first allowing three runs in the first inning. Bouncing back however, Ramirez kept the Skyhawks to zero runs during the next three shutout innings. However, Colton was unable to produce any runs for those innings until they got into the top of the fifth.

    Still not letting off the gas, they scored two more in fifth. Trying to answer Colton scored one run in the bottom of the fifth off, Junior Alyssa Duenez  made an RBI to bring the score to 5-1 going into the final two innings. Both teams were unable to score in the sixth and seventh ending the game 5-1, giving the SkyHawks their 6th win in the league and increasing the gap between them and Colton for third dropping Colton record to 3-5 in league.
