Volleyball 2015-2016

Seniors Daisy Aguilar and Sofia Uribe, captains of the varsity team at Colton High School say in a humbled manner, “We hope to beat GT this year and make it to finals.”  The volleyball program at CHS have passion for this sport, love each other, and all support each other.  The team says they all believe in each other, motivate each and everyone in the team, work together and don’t let anyone on the team get down on themselves.  The real question was what could they have done to improve this year?

Most would say that they see this team is united and sees each other as a family and those people would be correct.  Junior Varsity or Freshmen class players look up the varsity team and learn to see how they play; the freshmen also learn to support each other and work together as a unit. Sarah Vasquez, coach of the CHS volleyball team believes in her team and believes they will make it to the finals, but how couldn’t she, it’s her team!  Vasquez is strict because she wants the girls to believe in themselves and wants them to do better at what they love to do so she does what’s best for her subordinates.  Stormy Amaya, now captain of JV says that these new players of JV are much more competitive and try much harder than last years.  Wish these girls best of luck at making it to the finals and the seniors a good final season/year at CHS!
