Halloween Cancelled

With halloween just around the corner a lot of people are excited. Many people were wondering if a halloween would even happen with Covid-19 or if it would even be safe.

Various places and amusement parks were already calling off annual halloween events like haunted houses and other things. With lots of questions in the air the L.A. Department of Public Health finally spoke up. The Department of Public Health stated “there could be no trick-or-treating, no carnivals, no halloween parties, and no haunted houses are allowed.”  They believe with all of the covid cases it would not be safe to have an official halloween.

When people heard this, many of them were furious. People were mad at the fact that we would not get a halloween because people were not acting responsibly and listening to the martial law the LA mayor put down. A lot of businesses were angry as well due to the fact that halloween is a big holiday for stores. If no one is trick or treating then people won’t buy candy, costumes, or decorations/props.

Many stores like Spirit Halloween can only sell during the Halloween season and will lose a lot of money for the year since they are only opened and sell during this time of year.
