Police arrest two suspects in deadly shooting

Two suspects were arrested on suspicion of taking part in a that left 45-year old Antony Flory dead. The man was suspected as the person who pulled the trigger while the woman was suspected of being an acquaintance. Both Paul Mendoza, 28 and Julia Licea, 23, were arrested on December 29, 2018.

On December 23, at approximately 3:13 pm the San Bernardino police department were told they found Flory lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. His body was found on 4900 blocks of N. Stoddard Avenue, he was then transported to the hospital and was later pronounced dead. The San Bernardino Sun states, “Authorities said an investigation led to police identifying Mendoza as a suspect. He was arrested on suspicion of murder and being a felon in possession of a gun.”

Police had stated that Licea was arrested on suspicion of aiding Mendoza while he was still at large.

Mendoza was eventually transported to the West Valley detention center with a million dollar bail and is waiting to appear at the San Bernardino superior court on January 10, 2019. He was under arrest for murder and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Licea was posted bail and released from custody. No other information was released by the police.
