MTV’s Big Black dies at 45

 Christopher (Big Black) Boykin, of MTV’s ‘Rob & Big’ died Tuesday, May 9 at age 45 of a heart attack.

Big Black was originally hired to be Rob Dyrdek’s body guard, little did he know he would become a star of his own. Big Black starred in MTV’s ‘Rob & Big,’ from 2006 to 2008. Then later starred alongside Rob Dyrdek in MTV’s ‘Fantasy Factory that ran from 2009-2015. Boykin also began his own clothing line ‘Do Work’ in 2007.

 The news came about when Boykin’s ex-wife, Shannon Boykin, took to twitter saying, “I’m heartbroken to tell you of Black’s passing. He’s everything to me and Isis, and we will miss him.” Big Black left his 9-year old daughter, Isis, in the hands of his ex-wife Shannon. Shannon organized the private ceremony for Boykin. She says, “We are having a little get together this weekend, we didn’t want anything big.”

 Big Black will be truly missed. Rest in peace.
