Ms. Tapia makes big impact as new CHS coach

Much of the student body has seen Ms. Tapia, but they do not know much about her. Ms. Leyva’s students are the exception, and they could tell you more about her because she was Ms. Leyva’s student teacher during first semester and helped the mock trial teams.

However Ms. Tapia’s role on campus extends beyond being the student teacher that Ms. Leyva’s students adore. She is now serving her first year as the head coach of the Junior Varsity girls basketball team. She led the team to 2nd place in their tournament and improved upon the skill sets of last year’s JV basketball team. Tapia has been a great person for the JV and Varsity girls, and she has impacted their lives by not only being their coach but a friend to them.

Tapia says what she does in her free time is crossfit. The best part about this is that she even brings her dad with her. (Let me just say, Father and Daughter Goals!!!!)
