Did Destiny 2 live up to the hype?

Gavin Kale, Reporter

As Destiny 2 released on September 6th, 2017, fans were excited to see Bungie’s new release. Hopes were high, as they promised to complete the story of Destiny in the grimoire cards. The trailers for the game where fancy and what-not, but did the game really live up to what it was presented as?

The game was released on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. Obviously, if you want the best graphics, you would play it on PC. If you don’t really care about that, you can buy it on Xbox One or PS4. People say, “PS4 is the best console” or vice versa, but they’re pretty much the same. Other than that, graphics are pretty solid, based on my experience.

The story is acceptable, but not the best. It was certainly better than the original Destiny. The start of the game was absolutely amazing, introducing you to new characters, like Hawthorne or Devrim Kay, and showing you the European Dead Zone (EDZ), A lush forest in Europe. Seriously though, the EDZ is beautiful. The ending wasn’t the best, the only thing I liked about it was a secret cutscene. Destiny 2 is definitely a solid game that I recommend,I would rate it a 8.5/10.
