The Colton High Girls’ PE area was built as a result of a bond measure passed in 1972.
Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.
On October 9, 1972, a $4.7 million bond measure was passed in the local election. This bond measure made it possible for Colton to start building the girl’s locker room and shower facilities, build a new gym, and update the library and cafeteria.
The CHS Publications department is dedicated to covering all things Colton High. Like all of our organizations, we have needs, from site maintenance ($500 annually) to equipment (cameras, microphones, video cameras) to spirit gear (t-shirts, press passes).
