Colton High “Fact of the Day” – Dec. 7
Boys’ Golf was a part of the CHS sports program in 2008.
Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.
In 2008, Colton High had a varsity golf program. The team practiced at the San Bernardino Golf Club. During the Spring, the boys teed off against the likes of Coachella Valley, Heritage, Rancho Verde, Tahquitz, Bloomington, Cajon, San Gorgonio, Pacific, and San Bernardino.
The team that year was comprised of all underclassmen: Ryan Smith, Kevin Guerra, Micheal Martinez, Nick Vazquez, David Briggs, Peter Valencia, Frank Guerra, Joshua Rosas, and Ed Dominguez.
The CHS Publications department is dedicated to covering all things Colton High. Like all of our organizations, we have needs, from site maintenance ($500 annually) to equipment (cameras, microphones, video cameras) to spirit gear (t-shirts, press passes). Please consider donating. Every little bit helps support good journalism in Colton.
