Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.

Colton High played its first game against Eisenhower High on October 21, 1960. The game, held at Memorial Field, was a non-league exhibition that was considered a home game for both teams since Eisenhower’s stadium in Rialto was under construction. Memorial Stadium was made their home field during that season.

The Yellowjackets defeated the Eagles 27-0.
