How to Prepare for Semester 2

How to Prepare for Semester 2

Valentina Velarde

Semester one is almost done and seniors are only getting closer to the moment they’ve all been waiting for. As a senior you want to be able to be aware of what is happening in your current state and what I mean by that is, Have you cleared your attendance? Are all your debts paid off? You know the simple things. But before you head into semester 2 you need to make sure that you finished through semester one strong, and if you felt like you didn’t do that in semester one maybe now is the time to clean your slate and start preparing yourself for what’s to come for semester two. Yes we all are going to start fresh but that doesn’t mean you should throw away all the notes you have written down for certain classes, especially the classes that you have the most trouble in. Ask your teachers, “ What should I prepare for when semester two comes?”  Or maybe remember the little things your teachers say throughout the beginning of the year because most times while teachers lecture they happen to throw out some future information about your assignments.

Even if you don’t need old graded assignments, maybe look through the worksheets that you struggled with the most, in this case since its online learning looks through google classroom. Ask friends and teachers for help on assignments if you need it and even ask simple questions just for the proper assurance you don’t want to go in doubting your work. Another thing a student may work on is certain habits, maybe students can turn on cameras more, ask more questions, and even turn in more assignments. Ask if you are able to turn in old assignments you have never turned in because that will help a lot. Be sure to study in subjects that you have trouble in or maybe even try to become more motivated and procrastinate less? The second semester is considered the most important, that’s why preparing yourself is important as well, even if you can’t think of anything that can help prepare you, you will eventually find something that needs to be done.
