Happiest place on earth, or most expensive? Disney raises prices again

The happiest place on Earth just got more expensive.

The Walt Disney Company has recently announce that both parks in Anaheim, California and Orlando, Florida will be once again raising annual pass prices. Disneyland and California Adventure will also be eliminating their best selling Premium Pass.

Disney has made a huge jump in pricing as their newest and highest priced pass totals to a whopping $1,485.77 yearly. Payments are made monthly after purchase but Disney’s new pass will definitely leave a dent in your wallet. Disney’s Premier offers annual pass holders no blackout dates, discounts on shopping and dining, parking, and free digital downloads of photos with any Disney Cast Member in the park. The company’s’ soon to expire Premium Pass offered no blackout dates, discounts certain shops and restaurants, and parking for $799 yearly.

Disney has announced the decision to raise prices because the parks have been so recently in demand. Spokeswoman for Disneyland Suzi Brown says, “In addition to our continued investment in guest experience and the expansion of our parks, our new selection of annual passes will help us manage strong demand and continue to deliver a world-class experience, while providing more choices for guest to select the pass that best meets their needs.”

Annual passes are on the rise and Disney doesn’t seem they will be lowering prices anytime soon.
