Future Reflections

With all the countless cliches aside, senior year is coming to an end incredibly fast. A little faster than what I’m comfortable with. The last four years have undoubtedly been filled with some of the best days, as well as some of the absolute worst; but have treated me kindly nonetheless.

Walking onto Colton High’s campus as a mere freshman was both intimidating and invigorating. Meeting new people left and right while still seeing familiar faces was comforting. I came across new humans everyday but still had my hother 4 life, Vanessa, right by my side just as I have for over ten years.

I had a solid core group of friends coming into high school and lucky enough, I’m leaving with them. Andrea, Estefania, Heidy, and Jessica being my main ladies all four years. I met Yvette, Aida, Aleyah and Sarah about a year ago and they’re still the bees knees. Alfonso has been my very best chum for five years while Matt, Harrison and Joey have become really important to me over the course of junior and senior year.

Each and every friend I’ve made, kept or lost has shaped me into who I’ll be once I leave Colton High School’s campus. Boring days, to the exciting ones, sad days, to the overly hyper ones, the memorable ones, to the ones everyone forgot: High school was still school but it was by far the time of my life. Things are only looking up. Positive, positive, positive.

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
