Can you identify this mysterious Colton High School jersey? It appears to be a baseball jersey; it buttons down the front and has the number “24” clearly on the front.
This jersey was found at a Salvation Army Store in Salt Lake City, Utah, hundreds of miles away from Colton. I am sure this is a Colton, California jersey because it is crimson and gold. I checked the other Colton High School’s, but the one in Oregon’s colors are green and gold.
Whose could it be? I researched the sports pages in our Colton Library in old yearbooks. I started with the 1930’s through the 1980’s; I found a jersey in the 1986 yearbook that was similar, but not the exact one.
I have asked around and finally talked with Shawn Campa, the Varsity Boys Baseball Coach. He said, “There is a possibility that those jerseys were from around 1986-1999.”
I thought that this might be a Ken Hubb’s little league jersey, but I need some help with this. If anyone has any information on the Colton #24 baseball jersey, please email the PepperBough @ [email protected].
