Dance team took to the floor to celebrate Britney Spears with their lively dance number.

Olivia Torres came up big for the Yellowjackets in this game, scoring 6 points and keeping the team alive on the offensive boards.

With Savannah Govea in foul trouble in the second half, Zoey Espino's number was called to lead the team as point guard. She was more than up for the challenge. "I was really trying to keep the flow with the rest of the team, keep them calm," Espino said. "I was really trying to spread it around."

Lia Vellanoweth struggled from the field for most of the game, but came up big when it mattered, scoring five points in the decisive fourth quarter, including a three pointer.

Olivia Torres, for the second straight game, guarded the opponent's best ball handler, and she was more than up for the task, frustrating GT's Jayleen Barajas all game.

Coach Candice Tapia relishes the moment of victory. "When I was on JV, Coach Keisha was like, 'When are you going to move up? Are you going to move up? -- always asking me . . . So this year she's like, 'When are you going to move up?' And I said 'This is the year, Keisha. I'm not gonna do this unless we win a league championship.'"

"It's amazing!" Jasmine Jimenez expresses her feelings about winning the Skyline League championship as she and Madison Prieto rush to celebrate with their team.

As the clock reached the final seconds, head coach Keisha Young decided to reveal to the team that they were league champs. Alejandra Ascencio, Izabella Oliver and Naomi Ontiveros get the new on the bench and show their incredible surprise at the great news.

Ms. Woodson is Clarissa Mondragon’s favorite teacher. “She's very patient, doesn't get mad, and knows how to teach and understand people who are struggling and tries to understand them.”

Juan Luna’s told us his favorite teacher is art teacher Mr. Lopez. “He's nice and was there for me when I cried.”

Jeremiah Vindiola said Mr. Meza is his favorite teacher. “He's always there for me to help me with my work. He's a kind person.”

Leonel Perez said his favorite teacher is Mr. Martinez because “He’s buff like me. We twins.”

For her favorite teacher, Jazmine Navarro selected Mr. Urban. “He plays music in the class. I’m really late in that class a lot, but he doesn’t give me any trouble.”

Darlyn Sanchez’s favorite teacher is Ms. Gomez because “She's cool and I like the way she teaches.”
