Colton, CA—This weekend, details about the playoff schedules for Colton’s basketball and girls soccer team were released on the CIF Southern Section website.

Here are the details for each of our teams.

Girls Basketball

The Skyline league champion girls basketball team are ranked number one in their bracket, and will face the winner of the wild card C matchup on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m in the Hubbs Gym. The wild card matchup, between Cobalt High (#3 in the Cross Valley League) and Nogales High (#3 in the Montview League) will take place Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m.

Notably, Colton’s bracket also includes local rivals Grand Terrace High School (#3 San Andreas League). If the two teams meet, it would be in the playoff quarterfinals, which will be played on Valentine’s Day at 7 p.m.

Boys Basketball

Colton finished the 2023-2024 season second place in the Skyline League, drawing them a first round match up against Rancho Alamitos High (#3 in the Garden Grove League) on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. The game will be a home game at the Hubbs.

League rival Notre Dame is in their division. If the two face off against each other, it would be in the division final on Feb. 23 or 24.

Girls Soccer

The San Andreas league champs are ranked number one in their bracket, giving them a first round bye. They will play the winner of the match between Samueli Academy and Gabrielino High School this coming Saturday, Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. in Memorial Stadium.

The only team of note in their division is Rim of the World, but they are in a different bracket and would not meet Colton until the division finals on Feb. 23 or 24.
