Yellowjacket Swim Team Falls to Chaffey
March 8, 2016
The Colton Varsity Swim Team hosted its first swim meet at Grand Terrace and looked to give its hometown crowd another W in the win column. With a brand new team, Colton sought to dominate and look to prove themselves against one of the most dominant teams in the league, the Tigers.
At first, both boys and girls medley relays came in second place. Senior Jeremiah Lobato came in third place in 50 freestyle butĀ also came in first place in the 100 butterfly. In the girls 100 freestyle, Junior Amy Perez came in first place following that. Cesar Perez came in third place in the 100 backstroke. Victor Banuet came in third in 100 breaststroke. Though the highlights were great, it wasn’t enough to get the Jackets to win as they fell 102-58, leaving GT with the loss.
