Boys Basketball Summary vs. Kaiser, Summit, and Fontana

Johnathan Marquez, Reporter

Colton High school Yellow Jackets 0-2 in league faced off against the Kaiser Cats 2-0 in league on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets were the clear underdog and they played like it letting Kaiser jump out to a 28-9 lead by the half. Not letting go on the gas pedal, the Cats came out with the intentions to end the game in the third quarter outscoring Colton 25-6 in the third quarter with the final score being 66-22. Still confident the now 0-3 Yellow Jackets faced off against the 3-1 Summit SkyHawks Friday 1/22. The Yellow Jackets came out flat only scoring two points in the first quarter compared to Summits 19.

Finally waking up but not being able to shake off the start the Jackets kept up with the SkyHawks 31-25 in the final three quarters to eventually lose 50-27 in the end. Looking to win a game before the start of the second half of league at 0-4 and who are better then to against their rival the 2-2 Grand Terrace Titans on Wednesday 1/27. Sadly that wasn’t the case, with the Titans jumping out on the Jackets outscoring them 19-4. The Jackets fought back in the second quarter but still went into the locker room losing 41-19. Colton would eventually lose to Grand Terrace 29-74, sending them into the second half of league with a 0-5 league record and setting off to face the 2-3 Fontana Steelers.
