Homecoming week found the 2-3 Colton Yellow Jackets coming off a 43-22 loss to Chaffey High School. Many may argue that the homecoming game is one of the most important games of the year definitely one of the most meaningful. This extra energy and motivation was absolutely necessary facing off against the 5-0 Moreno Valley Vikings who are coming off against a 48-12 victory against Beaumont High School.

The pre-game performance was exciting with the Yellow Jacket team captains came in the most unique of ways, arriving into the stadium by a swat truck carrying the game ball. This arrival was seemingly the high point of the night with quarterback Chris Florez falling to an apparent injury on the first drive of the game which was the first event of a long night for the Yellow Jackets.

After four quarters of relentless aggression by the vikings and a few more injured Yellow Jackets later the game was finally over, with Moreno Valley coming out on top with a commanding 67-0 win. Hoping to shake this heart wrenching homecoming defeat off the Yellow Jackets look to enter league next week against the 3-2 Kaiser Cats.
