FOOTBALL
Last week Colton Football destroyed Bloomington High School. At Colton’s Homecoming game Jordan Ah Honi scored seven touchdowns to help the Varsity team beat Bloomington 47-6. The Junior Varsity team final score was 34-6. The Freshman team rounded out the sweep with a 30-21 win. This week, football takes on Grand Terrace.
VOLLEYBALL
Colton Girl’s Volleyball team has had a rollercoaster week. On October 2nd Varsity beat Grand Terrace 3 out of 5 sets. Junior Varsity and Freshman both lost to Grand Terrace 1 to 2. On October 4th Varsity lost to Fontana 0 to 3. On October 9th Varsity beat Bloomington 3 to 0. Junior varsity beat Bloomington 2 to 0. Volleyball’s next match is a league match against Kaiser.
CROSS COUNTRY
The 2012 Cross Country season is in full swing. The team had a great turn out at the 45th Annual Swarm Cross Country Invitational, nearly 1000 runners representing 24 schools. At the Hemet Bulldog Invitational, Alysa Avila, Lili Garay, Carolyn Quintanar, Gilbert Leon, Chris Castillo, and Phillip Baca earned individual medals. Today, October 10th, Colton’s Cross Country team has their 2nd Sunkist League cluster meet hosted by Kaiser High School and will be held at Martin Tudor Regional Park in Fontana.
