There are some incredible play-off match ups this weekend, starting with two games on Saturday, January 14th and two games on Sunday, January 15th.
New Orleans Saints at San Francisco 49’ers is the first game. The Saints have a great offense verses the 49’ers great defense. The Saints quarterback Drew Brees broke Dan Marino’s passing record. The Saints have scored 40-45 points per game. The 49’ers defense has allowed only one rushing touchdown.
The Denver Bronco’s play the New England Patriots is the second game. The Bronco’s have a really good running game. The reason is two good running backs and their quarterback, Tim Tebow. The Bronco’s have struggled with their passing offence at times. The Bronco’s are considered the underdog.
The Patriot’s are led by quarterback, Tom Brady, has 37 touchdowns. The Patriot’s defense ranks last in the league, so they need improvement in that area. The Bronco’s are the number one seed in the AFC.
The Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans play the first game on Sunday. The Ravens have a Pro Bowl defensive back, Ray Lewis. Their running game is good. Ray Rice moves out of the backfield in a hurry. He is a consistent runner that the Raven’s can count on.
The Texans have a good defense, and a big front line. They are going with their third string quarterback, rookie, TJ Yates. The other two quarterbacks are out with injuries. The Texans are a seven point underdog.
The New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers play the final game on Sunday.
The Giants have won three straight games and are really hot. Eli Manning is a great quarterback, and has Super Bowl experience. He was on the winning Super Bowl team in 2007. Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw, Giants running backs, share time, but Jacobs is the closer.
The Packers have a record of 15-1. Aaron Rodgers has 45 touchdowns this season. The Packers have a great receiving core, with Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Jermichael Finnely and Donald Driver. The Packers are last year’s Super Bowl winners.
Sit back, enjoy the games this weekend and root for your favorite team to make it to the Super Bowl.
