As a senior in high school, I have had my fair shares of receiving an abundance of homework at the beginning of the week. Mind you this includes projects, quizzes, homework, and studying. Yeah, I know it can be a lot to handle for one student. However, I have perfected my strategy to get everything done on time in the best way possible. Getting so much work can be very overwhelming and can stress you out to the point where you have a breakdown.

One way to handle a lot of homework is to section off the classes that are due the next day or in two days. For example, if you get homework on Monday that is due on Tuesday and Friday then you should do the assignments that are due on Tuesday. Getting rid of the work that is due in a short period of time helps you to decrease the amount of work you do in one day. You need to balance out the workload that you receive. Now another strategy is to do all of the work the day that you receive it in order for you to relax the rest of the week. This allows you to focus on studying for classes rather than focusing on homework.

Other students strategy consists of doing the work during other classes which can be very bad. Some teachers will write you up for disrupting the class or for not paying attention in their class. This results in you not learning in that period because you’re so focused on other class work. This would be the student’s fault however also the teacher for giving a lot of homework. As you can see a lot of homework can result in a variety of situations that can be either good or bad for you. Balancing everything is the key to allow you to succeed in school. This way you’ll be able to join clubs, organizations, sports, and even volunteer. If you do any of these strategies that I know that you will be able to handle anything that comes your way.
