Throughout our lives we are taught that four year universities are the only way to ever be successful. That’s the way society has always had us headed- however, that statement is not entirely true. San Bernardino Valley College and other community colleges offer as many opportunities for success as any other four year university. Going to Valley and RCC this past week has given me an idea of what I want to do with my life and how I will be able to reach it, even though I’m not going to a 4 year university. They told us about all their programs that can help students get money to help pay for college. RCC had more major options than Valley did but they both offered good majors. Both campuses were very nice. There are hidden jewels in every community. 4 years aren’t made for everyone. Everyone should take time to go visit their local community college and see what they have to offer.
