Fall Awards Assembly Gets Rescheduled to Sept. 26

The Line Fire causes changes to Colton High events.

Colton, CA—The Fall Awards Ceremony for Semester 2 Recognition was supposed to be scheduled for this Thursday on Sept. 12; however, because the CJUSD school district canceled all after school activities for the week due to the Line Fire, Colton High made the decision to reschedule the assembly to Sept. 26.

Activities Director Alexandra Buskirk stated “We decided to move the ceremony later in the month due to the fires and bad air quality. We moved it to the end of the month to hopefully get everyone to attend when conditions are safe for all.”

The assembly on the 26th will still be in the Whitmer Auditorium from 6:00 to 8:00pm, but doors will open starting from 5:30 pm.

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
