Damaged Bleachers Postpone Winter Rally

The winter pep rally will now be held on Feb. 27.

The bleachers in the northwest side of the Hubbs Gym–the Sophomore section–are currently in repair, postponing the upcoming Winter Pep Rally.

Colton, CA—The Winter Pep Rally, originally set for Friday, Feb. 13, was postponed today.

Due to damage to the bleachers at the northwest side of Hubbs Gym, the rally will now take place during fifth period on Feb. 27.

“Rather than risk anybody’s safety and everybody freakout, we just moved it to the end of the month,” said ASB Director Alexandra Buskirk.

According to Principal John Abbott, the plan is for the bleachers to be repaired by the Feb. 27 rally.

While the event may be rescheduled, everyone who was meant to perform for the rally is still ready to go with this issue, only giving them more time to perfect their show to wow the audience.

Mark Rodriguez is a senior at Colton High School. Other than the fact he is taller than you would expect a 17-year old to be, he’s a pretty average high school kid. He tends to get out of line, but he somehow manages to fix that (sometimes). He’s “smart” but struggles because of a lack of effort. However, when he tries, he can do excellent work (according to some sources). He likes to make people laugh and smile, but somehow he still struggles to talk to people. This is Mark’s fourth year writing for the Pepper Bough. He plans to pursue journalism after high school.
