Colton, CA—On October 9, the Aristrong Foundation held their sixth annual event, this year being bigger than ever. The event featured big music titles, classic lowriders, a kickball tournament, and fantastic food.
Aristrong is an annual event that is meant to fundraise for people in need, cancer researchers, and, most importantly, to bring Arianna Villalobos’ vision to life. Ariana was the daughter to Chris and Nikki Villalobos who tragically passed due to stage four glioblastoma brain cancer. Before passing Ariana had a vision of helping others in need, and Aristrong is leading that vision to help make it come to life.
A big headliner was the attendance of Super Bowl Champion Greg Townsend. The Aristrong Foundation’s Kickball tournament was held at Colton High’s softball field, and cars, food, Vendors, and music were at the bottom field this year.
They also had a Greg Townsend meet and greet; this is his first year at an Aristrong event. He was selling his book and selling his autograph for $40.
Townsend said “You know, I heard Richie talking about it, and he told me the importance of this program, and he wanted to make it big, so he asked me to come through. And I thought I would come through because I’m all about causes.”, he continued by sharing his personal connection to the event, “This one struck deadly straight to my heart. It’s about cancer. And so my mom and dad passed away with cancer. So yes, dearly to my heart, so I came out to support.”
Aristrong also had Kcal rocks supporting the event by selling tickets and raffles for their music festival in Las Vegas; one of the bands at the festival being Metallica.
Lifestream blood drive also attended the event; Lifestream is a program that takes people’s blood donations for those in need.
As Aristrongs non-profit organization grows bigger each year, it also creates a bigger impact for not just the Colton community, but for others as well.
