Colton, CA—Colton High School has found its next Vice-Principal.
At the August 5 Colton Joint Unified School District School Board meeting, Ms. Jennifer Cruz was announced as Colton High School’s next Vice-Principal. Ms. Cruz has been with CJUSD since 2003, first as a Language Arts teacher at Joe Baca Middle School, then as the English Language Development Teacher-on-Assignment at CHS.
Ms. Cruz has distinguished herself at CHS for her passionate student advocacy, inventive approach to planning, and incredible relationship building skills. In addition to her work within the school district, she is also an adjunct college professor molding the minds of future classroom teachers.
“I’m so excited I get to continue supporting CHS with this new opportunity!” said Ms. Cruz.
Ms. Cruz is filling the Vice-Principal position left vacant after Ms. Veronica Elder was transferred to Bloomington High School after the resignation of another administrator at that site. No start date has been confirmed, but her presence will be immediately felt by a welcoming CHS staff.
