Selena Quintanilla was recently honored with a Posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2021 Grammys that took place Sunday, March 14. Selena Quintanilla is known for doing many things but Selena is mainly known for her music career.

She had an extremely successful career and even won a Grammy award in 1994 for her album “Live!” in the ‘Best Mexican/Mexican American Album’ category. Selena’s career was short lived though since she was murdered in 1995 when she was only 23 years old by Yolanda Saldivar who shot and killed Selena.

Though Selena died over a decade ago she is still known around the world as an amazing woman and singer. She inspired many people and that was shown when it was announced she would be getting the Posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2021 grammys. People were happy that Selena was still getting the recognition she deserved even though she had passed away.
