Napa fires cause havoc in Northern California

The Napa Valley fire isn’t going anywhere anytime soon as the wind is starting to pick up and spread the fire all through out the Wine country.

About 3,500 homes and businesses have been destroyed due to the fire. There were approximately 2,000 people warned to leave their homes. Multiple shelters were set up  where residents were allowed to stay during the duration of the fires until they were furthermore put out.Two of the shelters were American Canyon high school and Napa Valley gym. The fire has burned 43,349 acres of land leading to 670 people reported missing. This has been known to be the worst fire in northern california. Whereas 21 people were pronounced dead.

Many local school districts have closed due to the smoke that can harm children’s lungs. The fire was so severe that it lasted overnight and reached San Francisco. Due to the fire Napa valley will not be in business any time soon even though 90% of grapes were picked before the fire itll take months and years for the vines to grow again. Meaning that the price of wine will go up and and bring more money to foreign countries that export wine.
