Samsung Consumers expecting virtual assistant soon

cEveryone pretty much knows about Samsung. It’s one of the biggest companies that makes phone models and more, but it’s mostly known for their phones. You probably might of heard the new virtual assistant, Bixby! Bixby is available for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. It’s basically like Siri but for Samsung.

Bixby can work for lots of things like send pictures or messages to friends, post a selfie on Instagram, or open an app and you can control what you do. You can do lots of things with Bixby, but Samsung is adding something new. They’re teaching Bixby to count the calories in your food with a simple look. The feature will be out soon, but according to Engadget, the test went pretty well when it was telling a pizza from a plate of salmon sushi from a juicy steak, but since it’s still a work in progress, we can’t expect Bixby to tell the exact calories of every single meal. Samsung says that Bixby will use “generic data” for the food items. There’s no word on when or even if the feature will wind up on Galaxy smartphones, but it’s still nice to see Samsung’s virtual assistant getting capable over time.
