Is Facebook even safe ?
Lately, Facebook has been an issue. People don’t say who they really are anymore. Technically, these people have been stealing someone else’s identity.
Are online social media websites safe? Facebook is the internationally used social website that brings everyone together. This website is considered a place where you can share your personal information. Like for example your house address, phone numbers, job address, etc. Criminals have found an easier way to find their victims, and it’s through Facebook. Making fake accounts saying they are this one person. Let’s say you post a picture and your photos weren’t private. Someone can easily just download it into their computer. BOOM! The person creates an account with your information. Criminals can easily be talking to teenagers, getting really deep into knowing all your personal information. Pretending to be, and acting as if they were just fifteen or sixteen. Don’t you ever wonder who you’re talking to when you receive a new friend request? Or even whose behind that account? This is often cited as the most important reason why parents don’t let their teenagers have a Facebook account. You don’t know what types of people are out there.
Protect your reputation; keep all personal information close. Make a private account, where only your friends can see, that way, no strangers who can easily steal your information. Don’t fake who you are, stay true to yourself. Think about the things you are going to post, you don’t know you might end up hurting someone else.
