FHA-Hero is a nation wide organization for young men and women in family and consumer science education in schools across the nation. Our FHA-Hero club is directed by the family and consumer science teacher Kathleeen Dickerson. This year’s Regional FHA meeting was held here on campus. The events included Apparel Construction, Child Development, Commercial Foods Preparation, Consumer Education, Culinary Arts Display, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Job Application and Interview, Menu Planning and Table Display, Prepared Speech, and Salad Preparation. Seniors Mireya Munoz, Stephanie Martinez, and Jesse Flores all competed in the Commercial Foods Preparation against eight other schools in our region. The team placed 4th and are now moving on to competing in the state finals in April.
