Any special reason for Jersey number?: “Yes, one day coach Collins and coach Williams walked up to me and asked me if I wanted to change my number from 22 to 11. I was shocked when he asked me because it’s a sacred number on our team because of my brother, Daniel Chavez class of 2015. I said yes and I told them to expect nothing less from me, that I’m going to show them that I’m better than my brother. I was nervous when I first got the number because I wanted my coaches to not regret giving me the jersey number and I wanted to make my brother proud but, now I’m confident that I’ve made them proud and that my coaches don’t regret giving me the number.”
