Colton High “Fact of the Day” – Apr. 5
Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.
In 1986, the CHS health care staff included nurses P.J. Peterson and Kim Lind.
One day during that school year, Lind came to the aid of a CHS student who had a seizure during class. Peterson remembered: “She is the kind of person you could always rely on. I remember an incident where a young girl was in her class and she had a seizure. Kim was right there helping anyway she could. The young girl was very upset. Kim calmed her down and even took her home because the parents couldn’t come and get her. Kim is a special kind of person.”
Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
