Colton High “Fact of the Day” – Feb. 3

The Colton High Marching Band performed at the Long Beach Parade in 1966.

Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.

In 1966, the Colton High School Fast-Marching Band and Drill Team performed at the All-Western Band Review in Long Beach. Drum Major Judy Slepski led the band at the event as a letter carrier. This was one of several parades, concerts, and competitions at which Colton High performed that year.
