Colton High “Fact of the Day” – Jan. 27
Mr. Bud Allan applies makeup to a student backstage for CHS Drama’s March 1973 production of “Fiddler on the Roof.”
Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.
Bud Allan taught at Colton High School for 17 years, from 1960 to 1977. He taught English and speech, was ran the Drama program, directing, advising, and designing sets.
On and off stage, Allan was a very encouraging and inspiring man. He sought out students and helped develop their talents and teamwork skills.
His hobbies included “everything” from constructing waterfalls to watching birds.
The CHS Publications department is dedicated to covering all things Colton High. Like all of our organizations, we have needs, from site maintenance ($500 annually) to equipment (cameras, microphones, video cameras) to spirit gear (t-shirts, press passes). Please consider donating. Every little bit helps support good journalism in Colton.
