Colton High “Fact of the Day” – Dec. 9
Mr. A.C. McDonald taught at CHS from 1924-1937. The 1937 Crimson & Gold was dedicated to him.
Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.
The 1937 Crimson & Gold is dedicated to Mr. Albert C. McDonald, who taught at Colton High from 1924-1937:
“As diversified as the types of books of our childhood was the life of our friend, pal, and teacher, Mr. McDonald. During his life he gave generously and completely to those less fortunate than himself. At no time did he expect, or want attention drawn to his truly humanitarian deeds . . . Mr. McDonald will long be remembered as a willing assistant, and a sincere friend to all those with whom he came contact.”
The CHS Publications department is dedicated to covering all things Colton High. Like all of our organizations, we have needs, from site maintenance ($500 annually) to equipment (cameras, microphones, video cameras) to spirit gear (t-shirts, press passes). Please consider donating. Every little bit helps support good journalism in Colton.
