Colton High “Fact of the Day” – Oct. 31

Students in the PossAbilities program at Colton High based their annual Halloween Haunted House in 2017 on Stephen King’s “IT.”

Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.

In 2017, the PossAbilities Club, comprised of students from Craig Martin’s SDC class, put on their annual Halloween Haunted House for students at Colton High School. During periods 2-5, teachers across campus brought their classes to room 453 for the creepy event.

The Haunted House that year was built around Stephen King’s horror novel “IT” and the popular Warner Bros. film.

Zaira Espinoza, Pepper Bough staffer, reported, “It gets so packed and the lines are always really long. Every year, the Special needs students do a great job of putting this event on for everyone at CHS to enjoy.”
