As the culminating moment of the 2008 Homecoming halftime show, Alexandra Santoyo was crowned Homecoming Queen. Here she stands with her father shortly after the announcement.

Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.

In 2008, Homecoming halftime was a busy affair. Not only did Colton High host the third annual Little Miss Yellowjacket pageant, but the field welcomed dance shows by both the CHS cheerleaders and the local baseball 66ers Dance Team.

The title of Little Miss Yellowjacket went to Frankie Henderson, who was accompanied by her mom and dad.

Grand marshals for this event were Mr. Terry Garcia and Ms. Carla Garcia.

Homecoming Queen for 2008 was Alexandra Santoyo. Her court included princesses Desiree Weathers, Daisy Garcia, Alexandra Cano, and Gabriella Espinoza.
