Homecoming week 1993 was a time for Colton High students to let their “school spirit hang out.” A Homecoming carnival was held during the week, in which students participated in a wide variety of games at club sponsored booths.

The big draw of the week, other than the Homecoming football game against ______, was the Powderpuff match between the Juniors and Seniors. “It was exciting and the students showed a lot of school spirit,” said senior Sherri Robertson.

The seniors won the game, 14-0.

Homecoming Week centered around the a Disney-focused theme: “A Magical Fantasy.” During the pep rally, choir treated the student body to a rendition of “A Whole New World” from Disney’s “Aladdin.” And the floats celebrated everything from “Alice in Wonderland” to “Beauty and the Beast.”

The Yellowjacket football team, feeling the pressure of an expected Homecoming victory, lost to Cajon High 17-14 in a close game.

At halftime, Anthony Chavez and Celena Luna were crowned Homecoming King and Queen.
