Destiny: XBox One gamers rejoice at new game

From the makers of Halo and Call of Duty, comes the critically anticipated video game Destiny. This Xbox One exclusive was hugely hyped to be a big game in 2014 back at the 2013 Comic Con. With over millions and millions of people preordering the game before its release date of September 9th, fans were very excited to play the game. Last Monday night, Game Stops all over the country were in line till midnight waiting to get their hands on the game. The highly anticipated game looks beautiful in terms of graphics and animation.

Although the game has nice graphics and smooth player movement, the first-person shooting gameplay is very similar to the Halo gaming franchise and has the same fighting options as Call of Duty (or any other shooting game as a matter of fact). The multiplayer mode is very simple and unassuming, having the same weapons and strikes as any other game but more futuristic. As a talked-about game, it looks like gamers will be playing a more Halo Reach like version of Titanfall (without the robots).

The fans would not be satisfied with this type of game, wasting all of their time waiting on something that took a year to release. What would be good about this game is to choose your class as either a Hunter, Titan or as an Assassin, with titan being the lowest class (even though people would assume that it would be more elite). Expect this game to be very unsuccessful in the near future.

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
