Charlotte’s Web is a childhood classic that is coming to life as the new Fall production at Colton High. Don’t miss out on all the fun that is coming to the Whitmer Auditorium in early October. Drama teacher Janis Aldrich is the head of the whole play of the memorable pig and spider.
Charlotte’s Web is based on a pig, which is saved by a spider that has the ability to write words in her web. Charlotte gives messages to the farmers that plan on eating the pig, but instead leads them to think the pig is special. It’s a fun and loving classic tale of a strong friendship amongst a spider, pig, and even a young girl. Such tales like this one has never grown old or dull.
Alec Ramirez will be playing Wilbur, the lovable pig. Edith Castorena will be play as the self-centered rat, Templeton. Sweat young Fern Arable will be played by Abigail Humpbrey. The spider that saved Wilbur’s life with her amazing talent is played by Aidil Villa.
Aldrich is putting much time and effort into making this play to make it the best it can be. No doubt this year’s Fall production will be no disappointment at all by seeing all the hard work being put into rehearsals.
Charlotte’s Web is remembered as a true classic story that leaves you a piece of your childhood left in your heart. Come experience a flash back to the good old days starting Thursday, October 2nd, and also playing on Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th. I won’t miss it and neither should you!
