Star Wars: The Last Jedi makes an impact among American movie theaters

Joshua Sandoval, Reporter

Like action and adventure? Like Sci-fi movies? Enjoy both? Then you’re probably a Star Wars fan. If that’s the case, The last Jedi would be right up your alley.

Everyone remembers how great the films are, especially since it was a smash hit every release. Now comes its ninth movie only to pass up the rest again. It’s filled with tons of action and comedy, but also a great story too, such as to expect with a Star Wars film. On top of all that, the rememberable characters only make this great movie all the better.

Our hero’s story continues as Rey (Daisy Ridley) is seen on the remote island of Ahch-To after finding Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). Rey’s mission is to return Skywalker to the Resistance in an attempt to restore hope among the galaxy and take down Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the First Order.

John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, and Carrie Fisher all reprise their roles. Boyega as Finn, the ex-stormtrooper; Isaac as Poe Dameron, the Resistance’s best x-wing pilot, Christie as Captain Phasma; Gleeson as General Hux; Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, Kylo Ren’s master; and Fisher reprises her role as General Leia Organa.

If any of this sounds enjoyable, that’s probably because it is. The last Jedi is a must see for Star Wars fans. You won’t regret watching it.
