For those who aren’t avid fans of anime you may be wondering and asking what is an Isekai? Well it is an anime where the protagonist by themselves or with a group gets displaced to another world. This can happen in a number of ways it could be through death and reincarnation, through teleportation, or summoning e.t.c. 

 Towards the end of 2018 there was a flood of Isekai animes being released and because of that, you would get the same trope and a very similar plot tine feed to you over and over again. Then came the 25 episode anime by Fuse with an awfully long and weird title, “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Silme”. 

This was an anime that took its viewers for a ride, a fun exciting ride through a well developed world, where we got to meet some really interesting characters, and watch them grow in a spectacularly written manner.  The anime follows a man who dies on earth and then gets reincarnated in another world as the title suggests, though he wasn’t just a slime he was a slime with various abilities. 

We see him use his abilities in very unique ways to gain more strength, and grow and form communities, and make peace on his journey to build his own nation which only started off as a little town full of frightful goblins.
