Apex Legends takes Fortnite's title by gaining 25 million players in a week

Apex Legends has smashed Fortnite’s record of players, gaining 25 million players in a week. Its publisher, Electronic Arts, also known as EA, is known for being one of the worst gaming companies in the world. They are known for releasing titles that have completely let players down, such as Star Wars: Battlefront 2, which received horrible player reviews after players had to get certain characters out of mystery boxes that were basically gambling.

That’s beside the point, however. Apex Legends has become one of the most popular first-person shooter battle royale games today, taking Fortnite’s place for being a very fast paced game. Some people who just hate the battle royale genre, in general, say that it’s just another battle royale just being made for a quick cash grab. Even though the game is free, there are mystery boxes in this game as well, which is expected when new shooters are made.

Apex Legends has similar aspects to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, and Rainbow Six: Siege because it has certain characters that you can choose from before going into the combat. For example, there is a character named Lifeline, who can send out a robot to heal both you and your teammates. Another one of her abilities is to have a care package full of equipment sent to her.

Apex Legends has recently hit 25 million players in a week of its launch, smashing the record that Fortnite had made with about 8.3 million players a week. Multiple sources say that Apex Legends is a “threat” to Fortnite, with it’s more diverse gameplay and changing up the game with its first-person perspective, while Fortnite has a third person perspective. Apex Legends also has a map just as big as Fortnite, but it does not matter that much because the characters you play in Apex Legends are very fast and can slide, making it easy to traverse the map. Apex Legends also forces the players to find their own cover, instead of building their own cover like in Fortnite. Overall, Apex Legends is better than Fortnite, according to the statistics.
